When can I expect my order to arrive?
Stocks of the required textbooks for 2010 are currently arriving in the Abacus warehouse. Because of a few delays from Publishers, some titles are not due to arrive until later in December, or early January. So, while you are encouraged to place your order now, shipping of some titles may be delayed. Any titles unavailable at the time of your order will be placed on back order and reported as ‘to follow’ on your invoice. Full payment will be taken from the credit card provided at the time of the initial shipment. However, freight and packaging charges will only apply to an initial shipment.
With the Christmas break, no orders will be processed between 24th December and 5th January.
It is anticipated that all orders will be completed and delivered before the start of Term 1 2010.
What happens if textbooks are not available before term starts?
Abacus provides the College with regular updates on the stock levels of books. If some textbooks are not available by 20th January, the balance of your order will be shipped to you, then the final title/s will be charged and sent to you as soon as they arrive – at no additional freight charge. Teachers will be informed that the particular text books are delayed and they will adjust teaching programs accordingly.
I will be away over Christmas, can I make alternative delivery arrangements?
Yes, please contact Abacus to provide alternative details for delivery.
What will the freight charges be?
To cover packaging and delivery costs we add a freight charge of $6.50 (single book orders $3.00) for orders to anywhere in the Auckland Metropolitan Area. If an order is to be delivered elsewhere in New Zealand the freight cost will be advised before charging and shipping.
Only one freight charge will be incurred – should your order be initially part supplied, the balance will be forwarded at no further freight cost.
International orders are subject to actual freight charges depending on the destination and delivery method requested. We always research to establish the most economical method of delivery. If the freight charge is a significant amount we will always notify the purchaser with details and freight options.
With International orders we are able to subtract New Zealand Goods and Services Tax (12.5%).
